SVC SERVO MOTOR TYPE REGULATOR

The voltmeters and ammeters are analogue and the voltmeter shows the output voltage. Those that have two voltmeters show the input and output voltages. If for any reason the output voltage goes outside set safety limits they cut off the output supply.  SVC regulators of 2 KVA and above have a wind back facility on servomotors i.e. when the regulator goes off the motor is wound back automatically so as to ensure a soft start up. The normal input for SVC regulators is 155-255 volts, output 220 volts adjustable. Sockets and plugs used are of British Standard . Regulators of 2 KVA and above have no plugs or sockets because direct connection is preferred for obtaining a good connection.
